Sophie Zenon’s exhibition Roads Over Troubled Waters was opened at the Angkor Photo Gallery on Tuesday. Sophie has been with us here in Siem Reap since the festival began! And on Thursday, we opened two exhibitions at the McDermott Gallery — Roger Ballen’s Boarding House and Krzysztof Wladyka’s Animalies.
We had our second night of slideshows curated by a guest curator. This year, we invited Wang Xi, who has worked extensively as a curator for several photo festivals in China, to put together a showcase for the festival.
Photographers here at the festival have also taken the initiative to organise their own sharing sessions and portfolio reviews in the afternoon. A big thank you to Loven Ramos for offering the space of ArtDeli – the cafe was the de facto meeting place last year, and we decided to make it a little bit more official!
