Screen time

Nov 14, 2010 | 2010 Festival Programme, 6th Edition (2010)

This weekend, the frame for our 4m-wide, custom-made screen was delivered to the festival centre.

It took them less than half an hour to put everything together – finding a place to store it was a lot tricker.

The evening slideshows have always been a very important part of the festival, and this year we’ll be showing almost 100 different sets of work (Click here to see the programme).

The very first slideshow (Nov 20th) is the Asian Women Photographers showcase curated by Yumi Goto of pdfx12 and the Reminders Project. (Visit the showcase’s Facebook page to find out more details and to read the interviews of the photographers).

Another highly anticipated showcase is New Blood (on Nov 22nd), curated by Antoine d’Agata and featuring the work of 21 Magnum photographers who’ve joined the collective in the last 10 years.

There will be a live webinar of the Asian Women Photographers showcase on Nov 16, 2010. The panel presentation will feature participating photographers Poulomi Basu, Isabelle Eshraghi, Mariam Amurvelashvili, Ore Huiying and Mery Agakhanyan. Click here to find out how you can watch it live!
