After the tragedy in Phnom Penh on Monday night, the mood of yesterday’s events was a lot more sombre and quiet. Led by Jean-Yves Navel, the director of the festival, everyone observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims before the slideshow at FCC began.
Yesterday’s slideshows included the Bangkok Unrest showcase, featuring the work of eight photographers who had covered the Bangkok protests. Earlier in the evening, the McDermott Gallery had the opening of two exhibitions – Zalmai’s Invisible in the City and Michel Kirch Baltic Memories.
It was great to have Zalmai (left in above photo) with us at the opening of his exhibition.
