Mother of the Fairytale is the initial tranche of a long-term documentation of the story of Tuburan, a young Steiner/Waldorf-inspired school striving to be a sustainable school community. Initially located in a vegetarian village in the outskirts of Davao City in Mindanao, Philippines, Tuburan started from scratch – no space, no teachers and no money. What it had was the passion and commitment of its co-founders and all forms of support possible from family and friends.
Biography
Louise Far practices a contemplative approach to photography. For nearly a decade now, she has been designing and facilitating photography-themed workshops for development organizations working with young people, particularly in communities which survived natural disasters or conflict such as in Mindanao and the Cordillera Region in the Philippines.
