This photo project is a recollection of our departed loved ones as they are never forgotten and always in our hearts.
Many people believe that even they crossed the other side, they are always guiding us wherever we are. There are a lot of ways on how we can feel their presence from a far, like presence of the butterflies.
Aside from that, they say that when a person passed away, they can be stardust in the sky where we lcan always look up, and talk to them from above.
Those are just few of the beliefs that continue to strengthen their memories with us through hardship and comfort.”
Christian Babista (Manila, Philippines 1995) has a background in visual arts through photography and filmmaking. his works revolve around all of his personal questions about memories and complexities of life. Christian’s first book entitled “When the Waves are Gone” was shortlisted for the Hong Kong Photobook Dummy Award 2023. Additionally, his work “If You Leave” can be found as a permanent collection at the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts (KMoPA).
