Home, not Home

Wasif Yamin Wasi (Bangladesh)

Bangladesh is called the beauty of nature and the hill district of Bangladesh. It is also a popular tourist destination, with a large population. People come to see the beauty of nature, and we are very happy when we can provide our trust, our best service, and make new friends. The harsh reality is that our beautiful land destroys our homes. Now this place is becoming a tourist 5-star hotel. We don’t want it. We want to live. We want to sing our song together. When people from other communities come to visit us, we offer them a place to stay in our home. We charge people money to stay in our home, and we build trust with one another. We don’t want to sell our beauty; we want to live in our place. Why do we destroy our home to make this place a 5-star hotel?
