Chemi Dorje Lama

A home sickness of a home to which you cannot return, a home which maybe never was: the nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your past.

Tibetan people and their community in exile face an impending crisis that may result in their culture and Identity to disappear. In exile there is a lack of clear direction and purpose and that is accelerating the disintegration and dispersal of the culture.

Chemi Dorje Lama is a freelance photographer based in Kathmandu, Nepal graduated from Pathshala South Asia media institute in Dhaka and has participated in multiple workshops and masterclasses given by local and international photographers.
