Tibetan people and their community in exile face an impending crisis that may result in their culture and Identity to disappear. In exile there is a lack of clear direction and purpose and that is accelerating the disintegration and dispersal of the culture.

Biography

Chemi Dorje Lama is a freelance photographer based in Kathmandu, Nepal graduated from Pathshala South Asia media institute in Dhaka and has participated in multiple workshops and masterclasses given by local and international photographers. His personal work focuses on Tibetan communities in exile. More recently, his project Exodus is about the desertification and migration issue in rural China. He is also associated with Photo.circle a platform for Nepali photographers and has been a part of PhotoKathmandu, the only international photo festival of Nepal.
