The 9th Edition of the Angkor Photo Workshops welcomed 30 young photographers from 11 Asian countries. Tutored by six professional photographers, all of whom volunteered their time and expertise to be a part of the unique educational initiative, each participant was pushed to bring their craft to a new level.
From discussions on story ideas, advice on formulating their work and guidance on the final and crucial process of editing, it was an intense and grueling week for all our participants. As always, the work of all participants were showcased as part of the Angkor Photo Festival on its Closing Night on November 30th at the gardens of the Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor.
The Closing Night was also when we announced the winner of the 2013 Photo Prize – Cambodian photographer Sophal Neak, for her work ‘Hang On’. Find out more about the Photo Prize and the 2013 Jury Panel here. Congratulations, Sophal!
