Anyone who has been to the Festival Center over the last couple of days would know that the team is busy, busy, busy getting everything ready. For those of you already in town, you can already visit some of the exhibitions that have already been set up!
We went to the garden of the Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor to visit Jean-Yves Navel, the director of the Angkor Photo Festival and the man in charge of setting up most of our exhibitions. He was putting the finishing touches on the Greenpeace International exhibition.
(Greenpeace International: Energy [r]evolution – a group show featuring work by Zhang Kechun, Athit Perawongmetha, Panjar Prashant)
Also in the same gardens is a special exhibition by Lam Duc Hien for Médecins du Monde. Women, the Aftermath of Violence, is a work across spanning 7 countries and addresses the critical topic of violence against women.
Transporting exhibitions in style. Tomas and Niko make a good team!
The new workshop center at the ever-popular Warehouse is also ready to go!
A big, big thank you to our friends at The Warehouse for offering the space to host the 8th Angkor Photo Workshops – I hope you’re ready for the crowd of participants!
The participants will be having their first meeting tomorrow evening – it’ll be the first time everyone will get to meet everyone else, and the tutors will also get to meet their respective groups. Get lots of rest tonight everyone – you’re going to need it!
