We would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to everyone who made the 12th Angkor Photo Festival & Workshops possible. It’s a huge production to put together and there’s lots that goes on behind the scenes to make it happen.
The team
We’ve got a core team who work on all the nitty gritty planning and organisation details. They are a close-knit team who manage the logistics and the programming. This year they put together an amazing program with so much diversity, including an outstanding group of presenters. The public program was a huge success and bigger and better than ever.
Presenters
The event is such a success because of the amazing and talented presenters who come along to offer information, advice, support and insights into this ever-changing industry. The depth and breadth of their knowledge and their willingness to share this with others is deeply appreciated.
Tutors
Our incredible tutors who give up their time to support and mentor the workshop participants through an intensive week. Their advice and support is appreciated and respected by the participants and will help them further their work.
Workshop participants
The workshops are such an integral part of the Angkor Photo Festival. We strive for ongoing education to encourage growth and the flow of ideas. The workshop participants give up a week of their life to further their career. They put themselves through stress and are taken well and truly out of their comfort zone. Pushed further than they are used to – and they come up with an amazing and diverse body of work presented in our Angkor Photo Workshop Showcase on the final night of the festival. Thanks to all who took part in this year’s workshop. And congratulations on the fantastic body of work you each produced. Good luck with your future endeavours. We hope to see you back.
Volunteers
We could not put this festival together without the band of volunteers who support us in so many ways. They help behind the scenes to set up the festival every evening. They ensure the portfolio reviews and the afternoon sessions run smoothly. They help with people co-ordination, organising photocopies, running errands, writing and social media. You would have seen them greeting visitors at the gates of the festival, providing information and serving behind the bar. They solve problems, use initiative and ensure the overall smooth running of the festival. Some volunteer with us for months in the lead up to the festival opening, others just for the week.
We are blessed with a number of volunteers who come back year after year to help us out. And we are thrilled there are always new people willing to join our close-knit team and help us every year. Thank you for all you do.
