What Makes A War
The Turkish state launched an operation with tanks, armoured cars and 10 thousand military in towns across mainly Kurdish region in December 2015 in order to lift barricades and fill ditches created by Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and The Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement (YDG-H) with the motivation of autonomy across Kurdish region. The operation is still continuing; 7000 people have lost their lives and more than 350,000 people are displaced. Most of the houses are empty due to the curfew in the cities where the operation continues. In following months the Turkish government is planning to extend the operation.
